The OMA Media Show provides an opportunity for media and PR professionals to connect and talk shop about the latest outdoor gear.

About the OMA Media Show

The OMA Media Show started in 2022 and has since served 190 brands and 30 PR agencies by providing a space for them to connect with over 100 media reps across the outdoor and active lifestyle spaces, from niche and mainstream titles to traditional outlets and trending media channels. Click here for the full list of past participating brands and agencies.

The OMA Media Show is designed for journalists, media producers, and freelancers to preview what will be available on store shelves in upcoming seasons. During 20-minute meetings scheduled throughout two days, PR representatives walk media through the latest updates from brands, including new technologies and applications, seasonal updates and developments, product launches, and new brand or line introductions. These sessions foster a productive, yet relaxed environment that helps media and PR teams prepare for the seasons ahead, develop relationships with colleagues, and build their network.

Registration for Summer 2026: July 15-16 is open.

Winter 2026 Recap

Despite epic weather conditions along the coasts, which prevented a handful of media guests from attending, unseasonably mild weather in Colorado made for a pleasant week for 175 media, PR, and brand reps to meet at the Outdoor Market Alliance this past February. Over 1500 meetings were scheduled ahead of the Winter show for the 54 participating brands. 66 media guests represented 55 media outlets, with roughly 83% covering hiking and backpacking, 75% travel, 65% snow sports, 50% run, 41% cycling, and 36% RVing and overlanding. Almost 60% of media guests are local to Colorado, 20% from the West Coast, and 10% from the East Coast.

OMA Annual Giving

Founded in 2022 with a vision for collaborative work and community contribution, the OMA has quickly become a hub for the outdoor industry in the Front Range. To support future development of recreation in the Rockies, OMA is committed to giving back. Each year, OMA members nominate and vote on a variety of outdoor non-profit causes to receive funds. And the OMA Media Show is the primary contributor to the OMA Annual Giving event.

Since its inception, OMA has donated to various organizations that support outdoor communities, including SheJumps, Continental Divide Trail Coalition, Protect Our Rivers, Save A Brain, Women’s Wilderness, and the Outdoor Lab Foundation.
