The OMA Media Show hosts face-to-face meetings between PR representatives and media. Each media show consists of two days of twenty-minute meetings, and hours of unstructured time are available for colleagues to connect over happy hours and meals. All food and beverages are made available throughout to keep the focus on the day’s conversations, demonstrations, and presentations.

The Outdoor Market Alliance is located between Denver and Golden CO – 30 Miles from Denver International Airport. Typically a ~$50 ride share and about an hour without major traffic or weather complications.

About OMA & The OMA Media Show

The Outdoor Market Alliance (OMA) is a nonprofit collective of 25 independent sales and marketing agencies representing 200+ brands in the Outdoor and Active Lifestyle markets in the Rockies. OMA’s location offers 32,000 square feet of showroom and community meeting space. The OMA Media Show started in 2022 and has since served 165 brands and 30 PR agencies in connecting with over 100 media reps from across the outdoor and active lifestyle spaces, from niche and mainstream outlets.

The OMA Media Show is for outdoor and active lifestyle journalists, staff writers, and freelancers to get their hands on what will be on store shelves in upcoming seasons. Brands from across the outdoor and active lifestyle spectrum participate, with or without PR representation, as OMA members or not. Thanks to the time invested by the participating PR agencies, the OMA Media Show is a community-driven event. Through collaboration, the agencies continue evolving the show with each iteration to better serve their clients and the media’s needs.

“Attending OMA gives me a rare opportunity to connect face-to-face with brands and media in a unique space. I always look forward to learning more about the latest and greatest gear, services, and industry trends. And it doesn’t hurt that attendees are so warm and welcoming—they give me a good excuse to return every single year.

Past Show Reactions

This is the event outdoor media has been waiting for. If you are in or crossover into outdoor pr or media skip all the rest and come to this one.

– Colin True, Rockfight

OMA is the best place to connect with media and PR colleagues, and to see and touch next year’s gear. It’s worth the trip.

Berne Broudy, Freelance

OMA exemplifies the “spirit” of the outdoor industry — the people, experiences, and connections that bind this whole enterprise together. All the doodads and jaw-dropping sizzle reels start with the partnerships and friendships we make when we’re together.

Adam Ruggerio, Gear Junkie

“The Outdoor Market Alliance and its Denver Media Show are fantastic examples of collaboration, community and innovation within the outdoor industry, bringing valuable additional exposure and business to Colorado’s robust multibillion dollar outdoor recreation economy. We look forward to continued partnership with the OMA and the new Denver Media Show.”

Conor Hall, Director of CO’s Office of Outdoor Recreation

“The roots of the OMA concept is that we can do more by coming together. While we typically host specialty retail buyers, this week we hosted media from top-tier publications that are looking for stories not only about the gear, but about the people and businesses on this side of the outdoor industry, that they can then pass along to consumers.”

“The community spirit of the outdoor industry has always been really strong. To see other groups in our industry collaborating in this space and within the concept of what we’re creating is exactly as intended, and adds to our excitement of possibilities moving forward.”

– Axel Geittman, Founding Board Member of OMA
